WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL HOME ORGANZER?A Professional Home Organizer is someone that helps you take the first steps to overcoming clutter and disorganization. Professional Organizers work with you to discover the personal and external challenges contributing to the clutter. Working with a Professional Organizer, you get a clear plan of action, defined goals, motivational guidance, support and all the hands-on attention that combine for results that make your life less stressful and your time more efficient.

WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH SUNSHINE ORGANIZING?We make organizing fun! We guide you to discover new perspectives and we transfer skills for you to independently manage your space and possessions with ease. We develop custom organizational systems for you, your household and lifestyle. We take the time handle everything from toys to family treasures with the utmost care. We adapt to each client’s needs. While encouraging you to release any items that don’t support the changes you are seeking to accomplish, we may assist with a compassionate, gentle approach or if needed - we might crack the whip and bring in some tough love! Either way, we always get you and your loved ones involved and motivated. We have fun getting organized. Plus, we strive to make sure that once the project is complete, you can maintain an organized routine on your own.

IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?Living in chaos can be expensive! You’ve likely spent a lot of money on many things at home that you don’t use, don’t love and don’t want anymore. Maybe you waste time looking for things you can no longer find. Maybe your systems work well for just you but aren’t kid-friendly or don’t make sense to other family members. Spending some time and money to overcome disorganization and prevent it in the future is an investment in your quality of life. The decision to hire and work with a professional organizer is an empowering step. In the end, you not only save money but also have more precious, free time!
-
DO YOU DO THE WORK OR HELP ME?The preliminary work is very collaborative, and I work one-on-one with each client to accomplish individual goals. Client involvement is a vital part of the process, and it’s the key to successfully maintaining home organization in the long-term. You’ll learn how to become and stay better organized on your own. We can have one organizer come out and work with you, and additional organizers are availabe for projects that require a team approach.
-
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE ME THROW EVERYTHING AWAY?Definitely not! ! will not force you to get rid of anything, but I may challenge you by asking tough questions about your items. Anything you discard is your decision alone. I am only there to assist you. My goal is to help you find and keep the important stuff, and let the rest go in the most eco-friendly way. I will be there to cheer you on as you let things go that no longer have a purpose or bring you happiness.
-
DO I NEED TO CLEAN UP OR BUY ANYTHING BEFORE YOU ARRIVE?No, please do not clean up or buy anything before we begin. It's important for me to see how you live in your home. I need to see the clutter so I can determine the best way to make it disappear for good. I will not judge you so there is no need to be embarrassed. I will not be shocked by the amount of clutter. I will work with you to find organizing solutions so you will feel relaxed and happy at home, and proud to welcome guests.
-
WILL I NEED TO BUY A BUNCH OF ORGANIZING PRODUCTS?No, in most cases I will offer solutions for your space with the organizational products you already own. Many people who desire to be more orderly have accumulated some good organizing products. I will always try to use products you already own. I may make product suggestions and can even shop for you if necessary. We work within a budget that is comfortable for you. Product costs are additional, are never marked up, and clients opting to buy products benefit from my trade discount at the Container Store. The decision to purchase items is completely up to the client.
-
DOES MY HOUSE HAVE TO BE MINIMALIST TO BE ORGANIZED?No, absolutely not! In fact, you can keep collections or items in great quantities and still be organized. Like a bookcase with hundreds of books, a ticket box with concert and sports tickets, or a storage room filled with crafting supplies. Instead of having piles of books throughout the house, confine them to one specific area and arrange them creatively. The same goes for tickets; rather than having them stuffed into various drawers in your bedroom, keep them all together in a shadow box. Crafting supplies can be kept in separate containers but stored in the same location.
